Educational booths, prizes from the Bobini brand, and fantastic entertainment – this briefly summarizes Dr. Miele Cosmed Group S.A.’s engagement in the lives of local communities in recent weeks. The company recaps its recent activities while reiterating its guiding principle: “by people – for people.”
The involvement of the company’s owners—both personal and corporate—in the communities in which they operate is a permanent element of their business activities. Especially during holiday periods and Children’s Day, the number of support requests increases significantly. The rules governing the allocation of such support are set out in the Social Engagement Policy, available on the company’s website.
“No indicators, figures, or charts can fully reflect how important corporate engagement in local communities is. For us, it is essential that this engagement aligns with our mission and values, that the principles of providing support are transparent and equitable. Above all, we want to share what we do best—our products. For years, social organizations, schools, parent councils, and institutions have been able to rely on our brands such as Bobini or Apart. Through in-kind donations, we help create prizes for competitions, lottery rewards, gifts for participants in local fairs, and packages for those in need. This approach benefits all parties: residents become familiar with our products, while we take pride in fulfilling our mission,” said Magdalena Miele, CEO of Dr. Miele Cosmed Group S.A.
In May and June alone, the company provided nearly 3,000 products to residents of Radom and Jawor (locations where it operates its factories). During picnics and community events, educational initiatives based on materials prepared by the company are also conducted. Children and their parents have the opportunity, for example, to experience how challenging it once was to clean clothes using a 19th-century washboard, to explore modern waste segregation principles, or to learn the meaning of symbols found on packaging—all presented in an engaging and interactive format.
“Children need not only education but also a sense that the world around them recognizes their needs and dreams. Therefore, support from companies such as Dr. Miele is of immense value. It is not only material assistance but, above all, an expression of social responsibility and care for the younger generation. Every initiative directed at students of Public Primary School No. 25 named after Wanda Chotomska in Radom brings joy, motivation, and the conviction that they are not alone. Especially on Children’s Day, such gestures gain special significance, leaving beautiful memories and building faith in the return of good,” summarized Sylwia Szczepaniak from the school’s Parent Council.
Similar initiatives are also carried out in Jawor:
“In today’s world, full of daily challenges, selfless support from partners is proof that there are individuals and institutions for whom the well-being and happiness of others—especially the youngest—are the highest values. Your attitude is a beautiful testament to empathy, solidarity, and corporate social responsibility for us and for our students,” added Magdalena Czekajło-Grechowicz, Chair of the Parent Council at Primary School No. 2 in Jawor (www.facebook.com/share/p/18YzsN4FcK/).
This is not all—long-standing cooperation with care and educational institutions in Silesia continues to result in joint initiatives. This year, 150 children and their caregivers from facilities in Katowice had the opportunity to enjoy a day together at the Energylandia amusement park in Zator. This form of support has a particularly emotional dimension for Dr. Miele employees, and for those involved in organizing such events, it is a moment of immense satisfaction and pride in how the company shares with others.
“Care and educational institutions in Katowice are managed by the City of Katowice, which ensures their daily operation and looks after our wards. However, thanks to in-kind and financial support from other entities, we are able to expand our assistance. External institutional and private support allows us to broaden our offer of trips and outings, and thanks to savings generated through donations, we can provide special rewards to children who deserve recognition,” said Monika Magiera-Drabik, Director of the Center for Care and Educational Institutions in Katowice.
